
The Ministry of Natural Resources of energy infrastructure is discussing a number of alternatives for communities which do not have gas, the one can be the installation of thermal energy. In particular, it is about the use of solar panels, solar batteries and water heaters, boilers or furnaces.
The energy infrastructure department head Hayk Badalyan said that, according to the Prime Minister's instruction, it is currently being carried out calculations, the costs associated with gas supply, as well as to the use of alternatives for each community.
It is expected until July 1 to form specific proposals for each community.
Currently, 329 communities in Armenia's have not gas supply. It is about 150 thousand people or 5 percent of the population.
