Within the framework of his working visit to Georgia, Yeghishe Margaryan, adviser to the Head of the State Food Security Service, met with the partner from the National Food Agency, Zurab Chekirurashvili.
According to the report of the Information and Public Relations Department, the agenda of the discussion was the transportation and phytosanitary control at Upper Lars checkpoint, in parallel with the increase in export volumes of perishable agricultural products, rapid and uninterrupted control.
The sides also touched upon the issue of simplifying export procedures as well as reducing administration, and in this context, the work of the "One Stop, One Window" system was highlighted. Yeghishe Margaryan got acquainted with the Georgian experience of this system, as well as the activities and opportunities of the National Food Service Agency. A similar service is also available in the Armenian SSFS.
