On August 1, the State Service for Food Safety provided the first sanitary passports to 5 vehicles of 'Saratov Poultry Factory Kurnikov' LLC, importing poultry and distributing them throughout the Republic.

The vehicles of the company has passed the appropriate inspection, have a professional conclusion and meet all the requirements of the food safety regulations.

According to the timetable provided for the provision of a sanitary passport for transporting foodstuffs, starting from September 1,2017, the requirement for sanitary passports will be used primarily for the vehicles transporting bread and meat. And although the order for other food products will be put into effect only since July 1, 2020, Saratov Poultry Factory Kurnikov, which transports poultry, has expressed willingness to receive sanitary passports for sanitary vehicles today.

It should be also reminded that starting from September 1, the organizations purchasing bread and meat within the framework of public procurement, as well as the Yerevan public catering facilities, and from November 1 trade places, are obliged to accept food only from a vehicle with a sanitary passport.
This legal norm will be mandatory for all regions of the republic since April 1, 2018.
