
Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan welcomed RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan who arrived in Artsakh on an informal visit in Shahumyan region, after which he got acquainted with a number of economic projects in the region.
According to the Artsakh government's announcement, besides getting acquainted with the construction of the Vardenis-Martakert highway and hydroelectric power plants, the prime ministers also took part in the foundation of a water factory in Karvachar.
"This is a historic moment as we lay the foundation for an unprecedented size factory for the Shahumyan region. This project is being implemented with foreign investments aimed at exporting large quantities of water from Karvachar. It will have a significant impact on the socio-economic development of the region, as, according to the project, at the initial stage the plant will provide around 50 jobs, promoting the development of infrastructure in the surrounding areas. Therefore, the Government is ready to support the implementation of this program as much as possible, "said Prime Minister Harutyunyan.
