In June-August of 2017, State Revenue Committee's Pre-Trial Control Department detected 71 cases of violation of customs regulations, of which 10 were on cargo transported from EEU countries.

Information and Public Relations Department of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia reports.

29 of the revealed cases were related to narcotic and psychotropic substances. In total, this year, the Pre-Trial Control Department has detected 159 customs violations, 23 of which relate to EEU cargoes, and 63 to drugs and psychotropic substances.

Illegal transportation of various goods, including gold and silver jewelry, cosmetics, equipment, mobile phones, construction materials, medical equipment, agricultural products, food, economic and other products were also prevented.

Other unauthorized or unsuccessful attempts to register goods, violations of customs rules and insurance were recorded.

In order to avoid the appropriate formulations, the citizens tried to transport goods in the pre-made shelters in cars.
