Armenia's development and Armenian vine and winemaking funds will promote the recognition of local wines and brandy in international markets.

Today, a joint venture agreement was signed between the heads of two foundations, Armen Avak Avakyan and Zaruhi Muradyan.

As the first practical step, two foundations together organize Armenian producers' participation in the "Prowine China 2017" exhibition in Shanghai, China, on November 14-16. "Prowine China" is one of the largest international exhibitions in this field, with 650 companies participating in this year from 37 countries, more than 12,000 importers, distributors and wholesale buyers are expected to visit.

By the joint pavilion of "Prowine China 2017", Armenia's alcoholic drinks are represented by 15 producers of wine, brandy and spirit drinks. The participation of Armenian companies is co-financed in the framework of state support.

During previous international wine shows, Armenian drinks are already exported to the Netherlands, Belgium, England, Germany and other countries under the contracts procured with the assistance of ADB. Last year Armenia's winemaking companies won 10 golden and 13 silver medals at the prestigious “MUNDUS VINI 20th Grand International Wine Awards” and found new export markets.

"The Development Foundation of Armenia has an effective experience of promotion of Armenian products at international exhibitions. Our delegations return from each expo with export orders. Apart from Pro Win China, my team is also ready to share their experience with partner funds to present local products to international buyers and suppliers, "said Armen Avak Avakyan, Executive Director of ADF.

"In the short period of its activity, Armenia's Vine and Wine Foundations have been able to achieve significant results through various international exhibitions in promoting the recognition and demand of Armenian wines on the international market. I am confident that this cooperation will provide new opportunities for the development and export promotion of the sector, "said Executive Director Zaruhi Muradyan.
