
During the working meeting with the President of the Republic of Armenia at the Government of the Republic of Armenia, Head of the Civil Aviation Department Sergey Avetisyan reported today the reforms, development programs, existing problems and measures aimed at their solution.
Sergey Avetisyan presented the results of the international cooperation in aviation, the development programs of the aviation infrastructure of the RA, as well as the measures aimed at improving the airspace of the RA and improving business environment for air companies.
Head of the General Department of Civil Aviation touched upon the results of Armenia's cooperation with the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and a number of partner countries, reporting on the process of negotiations on the Armenia-EU general aviation zone launched in 2017 and the main principles of transport policy developed and approved by the Eurasian Economic Commission, coordinated roadmap policy and negotiations held with air navigation of 27 states.
The President of the Republic of Armenia instructed to carry out consistent work with partners to strengthen and develop relations in the aviation industry, providing the necessary conditions for air companies for the implementation of international flights.
Issues related to the expansion of the air connection of the Republic of Armenia, the development of the airports and air transportation market of the Republic of Armenia, raising the level of aviation training have been discussed at the meeting, according to which the President has given corresponding instructions. The Head of the General Department of Civil Aviation presented to the President the list of measures in the above mentioned directions as well as the upcoming programs and expected outcomes of cooperation with international aviation organizations.
