shaboyan521Chairman of the RA State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition Artak Shaboyan has left for a two-day working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan to take part in the International Competitiveness Conference in Almaty.

SCPEC reports that the forum is an important platform for discussing issues of economic competition, issues of mutual interest, as well as issues of equal competitive abilities of exporting and importing companies.

President of SCPEC Shaboyan delivered a speech at the Forum, presenting the large-scale work carried out within the framework of the EEU membership, as well as speaking about the issues that need to be regulated yet.

Particularly, in his speech, the SCPEC President touched upon the problem of trade networks and cooperation of Armenian manufacturers with EEU member states, presenting a rather serious and continuing work done in that direction.

"Businessmen operating in the unified economic area should have equal working conditions, at which have been aimed our activities over the past two years," Shaboyan said.

He also presented to his colleagues a few successful examples when the Commission was able to protect the interests of Armenian producers in the Russian Federation and, being involved as a third party, restored their interests in court. The head of the Competitiveness Body of the RA noted that today the Code of Good-Trade Relations between SCPEC and trade networks and providers adopted by all EEU member states is used successfully. "The use of such a code is important in the case of successfully developing and expanding cooperation between the major trade networks of the EEU Member States and Armenian producers".
