Banker Samvel Chzmachyan with a 44-year working experience has left the post of the president of the Union of Banks of Armenia.

"I do not know whether I will ever work in the banking system, but I should note that as a president of the Union of Banks I have been working for 8 years (this period has already been in my life), and in general, in the banking system for more than 44 years," Chzmachyan said.

According to him, for 39 years, he has headed the banks and UBA.

"Having been a very experienced banker, I realized that the bank is an excellent financial institution that can do a great deal of money for the country's population and economy, and you can enjoy great work. Personally, I think people are happy when they get pleasure from their work, "Chzmachyan said.

He recalled that for many decades, younger colleagues had been preaching the idea that the bank should develop in every possible way - at first, perhaps even "pulling out the belt".

"But in the future, a strong and developed bank will return, as I have already said, moral and, why not, financial satisfaction, and perhaps, respect and honor. That's why in the banking business, one should be guided by the principle: to be sincere, honest and again sincere, "Chzmachyan said.

He also spoke about the programs. According to Chzmachyan, at present, there are some suggestions on working in other spheres of economic activity.

"In any case, I do not feel my age. Finishing, I wish Armenian banks fruitful and creative work for the good of our people. Besides, I am confident that the Armenian government will succeed in achieving significant results in all spheres of our life, which is quite noticeable in Karen Karapetyan's new government's one-year work, "Chzmachyan said.
