ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK announced the launch of American Express SafeKey®. SafeKey is a fraud prevention tool based on online payments, based on the international 3-D Secure® standard and is designed to protect online retailers and cardholders serving American Express cards from possible fraud risks.

The bank informs that as a result of the SafeKey service activation, Armenian online trading and service points can now accept American Express cards issued not only in Armenia, but also abroad.

Online payment acceptance outlets can register and start serving American Express cards by completing the relevant application on the Bank's website.

After the service activation, shopping points will be able to place the American Express SafeKey logo on their site's payment section to enhance customer confidence in operating security. SafeKey service has been activated for trade and service points cooperating with the bank on Internet payments.

SafeKey also enables American Express Cardholders to make more secure online payments as payments are made at Internet-enabled retail outlets. To cardholder's mobile phone is sent one-time password by SMS, which is confirmed after the transaction is completed.

SafeKey has been activated for all American Express Cardholders, so there is no need to apply or visit the bank to use the service. In case the customer has changed his cell phone number and has not yet notified the bank about it, he / she can do so by calling the bank's round-the-clock service center (010) 31 99 99.
