
HSBC Bank Armenia and the Armenian Fund for Support (FAR) have united efforts to help children from the border villages of Tavush to implement their New Year wishes.
According to the press service of the Bank, at New Year's Eve, Bank employees transferred about 400 toys and other gifts to children living in eight border communities (Verin Tsakhkavan, Chinchin, Navur, Tavush, Verin Karmraghbyur, Norashen, Artsvaberd, Aygedzor) as their contribution to the sustainable development of communities
According to the source, Santa Claus has also prepared special gifts for those who will come to school for the first time next year. In addition to toys, HSBC employees donated school bags and stationery to all 5 year old children.
"HSBC has always been involved in sustainable development projects. The Toy Collecting Initiative is one of the community-supported programs that our team is willing to support. Hopefully, we were able to cheer up the children living in Tavush region at New Year's Eve, "says Paul Edgar, Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Armenia.
Toy Drive's initiative HSBC Bank has been implemented since 2007 within the framework of the "Youth Opportunities" program. >From 2016 to 2018, the Bank has directed around $ 9 million to charity companies across the globe to help with this initiative, helping vulnerable young people.
