Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has today met with heads of major international companies within the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Karen Karapetyan's first meeting was with Hans-Paul Björner, president of BCG (Boston Consulting Group), one of the Big Trio companies.

During the meeting the prospects of cooperation with BCG and BCG Digital Ventures were discussed. Karen Karapetyan underscored that Armenia can be interesting for the company as a separate country as well as a platform for entering the regional markets, noting that being a member of the EEU Armenia also benefits from the GSP + privileged mode of the European Union and is being established on the border with neighboring Iran is the Free Economic Zone of Meghri that can open new opportunities for cooperation.

The other PM's meeting was with CEO of VEON Jean-Yves Charlier and External Relations Mark Mackgan.

Karen Karapetyan noted that Armenia appreciates the cooperation established with "VEON", expressing hope that the company will expand its activities in Armenia and will increase the volume of investments.

The representatives of the "VEON" noted that they were satisfied with the results of 2017, and their programs in Armenia will be continuous. "We look forward to Armenia and the region with optimism, and we think it is becoming more attractive for foreign investors," said Jean-Yves Sharlier, informing that he will visit Armenia again in the near future.
