In the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Armenia's Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan met with Head of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority of the United Arab Emirates, Bodur al-Qasimi, on January 25.

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan presented the process of reforms in Armenia aimed at improving the investment climate and creating more favorable business environment.

The head of the Armenian government thanked Mrs. Kasimi for his renovation of Haghartsin monastic complex several years ago.

In his turn, Bodur al-Qasimi noted that Armenia views it as an interesting market and a good platform for other major markets. She also noted that she was impressed with the cultural heritage of Armenia and was glad that her company took part in renovating one of the most beautiful monasteries in Armenia.

Karen Karapetyan's next meeting was with John Beck, Canadian President and Chief Executive Officer of AECON. The Prime Minister presented Armenia's possibilities and implemented reforms, as well as a number of public-private partnerships that could be of interest to the company. John Beck noted in his turn that Armenia, as a developing country with great potential, is very exciting for the Canadian company and will consider all possible projects and their participation in these programs.
