Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Igor Nazaruk.

The interlocutors discussed issues related to the implementation of the agreements reached recently at the meeting of the Armenian and Belarusian governments in Almaty. Ambassador Nazaryan emphasized that after the meeting with the Armenian counterpart the Belarusian Prime Minister set a task to activate economic ties with Armenia and gave corresponding instructions to the heads of different departments. A working group, headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, will visit Armenia in the near future.

Karen Karapetyan expressed conviction that there are wide opportunities and potential for promoting bilateral economic ties. In the context of its implementation, the Prime Minister and the Ambassador of Belarus touched upon the possibilities of implementation of joint projects in the spheres of agriculture, including livestock production, agricultural production, information technologies, transport, tourism, diversification of flights, the involvement of Belarussian companies in the free economic zone of Meghri and a number of other issues.
