Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia Suren Karayan has had a meeting with the representatives of tourism organizations.

Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the RA Ministry of Economic Development and Investments Zarmine Zeytuntsyan, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Mekhak Apresyan, Director of the Tourism Development Fund of Armenia Ara Khzmalyan took part in the discussion.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the problems of tourism in Armenia in the current situation and to find solutions to prevent or minimize the potential damage to Armenia's tourism sector and to maintain Armenia's image as a stable, safe and attractive country.

The Minister informed the participants of the meeting that he was concerned about the abolition of tourist visits. He invited to a sincere and interested dialogue, urging them to present existing issues and make proposals. Suren Karayan is also willing to provide the necessary support from the state for the effective solution of the problem.

Representatives of the tourism sector mentioned in their proposals that the issue must be solved without the use of force, the need for a constructive dialogue between the parties, the need for a peaceful demonstration and marches, in order to be able to make tourism programs unbearable in the created situation.
