Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Artur Grigoryan spoke about the prospects of cooperation with Italian Ambassador to Armenia Vinchenzo Del Monaco.

Issues related to the development and expansion of the Armenian-Italian cooperation in the field of energy were discussed at the meeting. In that context, they touched upon the construction of the second power unit of the Yerevan Hydroelectric Power Plant by the Italian RENCO Company. Minister Grigoryan expressed hope that the construction of the energy unit will begin in the near future.

Ambassador Del Monaco noted that Italy has rich experience in renewable energy and added that there is intent to cooperate, particularly in the field of solar energy.
