Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan hosted the UN Permanent Coordinator in Armenia, Permanent Representative of the Development Program, Shombi Sharp. Welcoming the guest, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the activities of the UN Office in Armenia and the activities carried out in key areas of Armenia's sustainable development.

According to the Government Information and Public Relations Department, thanking Mher Grigoryan for the reception and good words, the UN Permanent Coordinator congratulated him on his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister. Shombi Sharp presented the course of joint projects with the government and the projects that are under development yet.

The interlocutors exchanged thoughts over the UN-funded northern checkpoints modernization program and discussed the idea of ​​implementing such a program for modernizing the Meghri checkpoint on the basis of that successful experience, in which preparatory work is underway.
