Within the framework of the State Revenue Committee's supervisory measures, a recent attempt to sell false cognac has been prevented in Yerevan. Particularly, the operative intelligence department was informed that the citizen Sergey Danielyan was engaged in bottling and selling alcoholic drinks of unknown origin.
For the purpose of disclosing violations, Danielyan was given a preliminary order for the supply of these goods. Later, at the time of supply, a large number of brandy-like alcoholic drinks, bottled and issued by one of the famous factories of brandy production were found. As a result of operative-investigative measures taken to detect the sources of their acquisition and the identification of the participants, a large number of false alcoholic beverages of famous brands, as well as raw materials and other accessories for their production were found at the store at 16 A, Tigran Mets Avenue. It turned out that in addition to private entrepreneur Sergei Danielyan, Gohar and Sirun Muradyans are also engaged in similar activities. They acknowledged and explained that they had known that it was a false product beforehand.
Based on Article 57 § 2 of the RA Criminal Procedure Code, an examination of the scene was carried out jointly with the SRC Officers Detection and Administrative Proceedings Department, and were taken samples for examination, due to the articles 207 (laundering or selling counterfeit alcohol or vodka or alcoholic drinks), 209 (alienation of excise stamps and / or illegally acquired excise stamping of goods).
Investigation is under way.
