On July 6, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Jermuk. He met with "Armenian Environmental Front" representative Levon Galstyan and "Lydian Armenia" CEO Hayk Aloyan, to listen to the concerns and arguments of the Amulsar mine exploitation.

"Azatutyun" radio station reports that the prime minister also met with parties interested in the mine exploitation.

"Inspections in Amulsar should continue. As a result of this visit we have come to the conclusion, that we must answer two fundamental questions: The first is the possible influence of the mine to the water resources and the impact of the mine on Jermuk, as a health resort. We have a third case, if we do any illegal actions, at least from international perspective we can face a very difficult situation, "the prime minister said, adding that the decisions should be based solely on facts and not on emotions.

According to the prime minister, theoretically these questions have two answers: positive or negative. "If we were in the initial stage, there would be a political decision not to have a mine nearby Jermuk, but we have a situation when 80% of the work needed for mine exploitation has already been done, and this is the situation with which we should consider "Said the Prime Minister.
