In the Upper Lars checkpoint a large number of vehicles have been accumulated, Armen Pambukhchyan, Transport, Communications and IT Deputy Minister, wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, the Russian side queue is about 5 km, the time for waiting of one car (if it's at the end of the queue) is 5 hours. The length of the queue from Georgia is 2 km, the time for waiting is about 1.5 hours.

"The queue is conditioned by the tourist season, in the queue are citizens of different countries, some of them leave for Batumi," reads the note.

Taking into account the current situation, the Deputy Minister urges users who have acquaintances who are coming Armenia through Lars, warn them about the queue's existence.
