Executive Director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund Ara Vardanyan has presented his resignation to President Armen Sargsyan.

According to the Department of Public Relations of the Presidential Administration, his resignation is related to accusation of abusing his official position presented against Vardanyan.

President Sargsyan, as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, has accepted the application of Ara Vardanyan's resignation. According to the established procedure, the application will be sent to the members of the Board of Trustees for approval, after which a special commission will be established, which will elect the new Executive Director of the Fund.
