The Asian Development Bank has issued a statement on construction of the North-South Road Corridor.

In response to recent publications in the press about the construction of the North-South Road Corridor, the Asian Development Bank wants to clarify the following:

As part of the funding for North-South Road Corridor, the Armenian government's partner, ADB, is monitoring the implementation of the project and provides advice according to the Bank's guidelines.

In all its decisions on financing infrastructures including North-South Road Corridor, ADB does not impose any concrete construction methodologies, but at the same time calls on implementing structures to ensure quality construction, ensuring the maximum strength of infrastructure, in order to reduce costs and extend the expiration date.

We are convinced that this approach is used in the North-South Road Corridor program and we look forward to continuing cooperation with the Government of Armenia to complete the construction of this very important infrastructure."
