First Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan wrote on his Facebook page that the government will consistently work towards introducing a system of farming insurance in 2019.
"Systemic solutions are needed, and we will consistently work to have a farming insurance system next year, with effective anti-hail stations and anti-hail networks," he said.
The first deputy prime minister visited the Bambakashat, Mgashat, Alashkert and other communities in the Armavir region, where the hail and storm had greatly damaged the harvest and infrastructure.
"We are confident that the government should not leave farmers alone in mitigating the consequences of this disaster. From August 13 harm assessment works will start, after which the government will discuss the possible support to farmers, "said Mirzoyan.
