Armenia's economic growth and investment minister Artsvik Minasyan stated this at the meeting with reporters in Armenia for the first 6 months of the year.

"It was 8.3%. Sectorial analysis of this indicator for the first six months of 2018 shows that the main spheres that promote growth are trade and services, about 5.3%. The construction has increased by 8.9 %, but the amount of aid is 0.5 %, as its share in economic growth has been smaller in the previous period. Industry has contributed by 1.4 percentage points, agriculture – by 0.5 percentage points, "A. Minasyan said.

The minister said that the overall economic activity index in January-July was 9.3%. "The industry has grown by 4.3%, agricultural output - by 4.6%, construction - by 10.4%, trade turnover - by 8.9%, and services – by 18.7%," the minister said.
