"ARMSWISSBANK", "CONVERSBANK" CJSC and "ARMECONOMBANK" OJSC have also joined the program "Financial leasing of equipment for agro food sector in the Republic of Armenia".

According to the Public Relations Department of the RA Ministry of Agriculture, cooperation memorandums were signed between "ACBA Leasing" CJSC, "Development and Investment Corporation" UCO (formerly "SME Investments" UCO CJSC) and "Card AgroCredit" UCO CJSC.

Within the framework of the project, enterprises have the opportunity to purchase equipment under a lease agreement in the following areas:

• Livestock breeding, including cattle breeding, sheep breeding, pigging, poultry, bee-keeping, fish breeding, industrial animal husbandry,

• Crop production, including greenhouses,

• refrigeration facilities, including milk processing plants,

• Activities on sorting, packaging of fresh fruits and vegetables,

• slaughterhouse,

• agro-processing industry;

• Other activities in the agrarian sector.

Leasing is provided in drams, with a maturity period of up to up to 8 years, with an annual interest rate of 11%, up to 7% of which is subsidized by the state so that the annual interest rate paid by the lender is 4%. The borrower pays 20% advance payment for the leasing item.
