In the framework of the continuous process of identifying abuses and shadowing, the Armenian State Revenue Committee held inspections at the CJSC “Gazprom Armenia”, as reports Information and PR department of State Revenue Committee.
A number of irregularities and cases of non-payment of taxes on a large scale were identified.
In particular, during the tax audit of the company by employees of the Office for Large and Medium Taxpayers of the Tax Inspectorate of the SRC, it turned out that Gazprom Armenia CJSC included obviously false data on VAT and income tax calculations submitted to tax authorities during 2016 and 2017, as a result, tax liabilities were calculated at a rate of less than several billion drams.
Data on comparative studies of gas losses, as well as the volumes of natural gas supplied to gas stations, also indicate the company's abuse. It turned out that the amount of losses in the distribution system in June-July 2018 compared with January-May 2018 decreased by more than three times. At the same time, as a result of comparative studies, it turned out that the volumes of natural gas supplied by Gazprom Armenia to gas stations significantly increased in June-September compared to the first five months - by about 37 percent, manifestations of which with the same proportionality were simultaneously registered in the volume of consumed natural gas of a number of companies engaged in gas filling operations.
Based on the above, the investigative department of the State Revenue Committee, in accordance with Article 205, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code, initiated a criminal case. The necessary investigative and judicial actions are being taken to determine the amount of damage caused to the state as a result of abuses committed by Gazprom Armenia, as well as to detect corruption in the sphere of natural gas consumption.
