Head of the RA State Revenue Committee David Ananyan spoke on the radio about the introduction of a 23% income tax for private transfers.

He noted that if the person who received income outside the country has already paid the tax, then the SRC should be provided with relevant certificates. At the same time, if the amount of tax paid is less than in Armenia, then the difference should be paid to the state budget.

This idea was presented in the framework of the draft declaration of income of the population.

The transfer tax initiative has sparked controversy.
