The Central Bank of Cyprus has instructed local banks to close the accounts of offshore companies. Alexander Zakharov, tax law expert, wrote in his column of Forbes.
He assumes that offshore companies are registered in Belize, the British Virgin Islands, the Seychelles, and other islands in the Caribbean. Closing of accounts of such companies will start today, on June 4.
