Sberbank's President Herman Gref said that the Central Bank of Russia would require 2-3 years to clear the financial sector from unfavorable "zombie banks", Interfax reports.

According to him, recovery of the banking sector is a long-term and complicated process.

"But I would say that the Central Bank will succeed in that process without a banking crisis," he said.

According to Gref, the bank sector is experiencing "crisis of bank owners". According to him, it is "the smallest sum that can be paid" for criminal practices in the banking sector for decades.
