Gold reserves in Russia reached about 2000 tons, approaching the historic maximum when the Soviet Union accumulated 2,800 tons in 1941.
According to RG, in the first half of this year, the Bank of Russia has acquired 106 tons of precious metals and raised the gold volume to 1944 tons in assets.
