The profit of the banking sector of Russia in 2018 will amount to 1.2-1.3 trillion rubles, said Vasiliy Pozdishev, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank.

"I think the profit of the entire banking system can be estimated at 1.2-1.3 trillion rubles for 2018," said Pozdishev.

Elvira Nabiulina, President of the Bank of Russia, informed in February 2018 that the CB predicts 1.5 trillion rubles profits for banks in 2018, unless it is impeded by the creation of artificial reserves by banks.
