Since November 12, 2018, Torgovaya Kapital Capital (Subsidiary Bank of Iranian Bank Tejrat in Belarus) has been deactivated in the SWIFT network, all contracts with SWIFT have been suspended. This is stated in the message of the Belarusian Interbank Settlement Center.

"According to SWIFT, this decision was made in the interests of preserving the stability and integrity of the rest of the global financial system and was based on an assessment of the economic situation as a result of the adoption of US sanctions against Iran," the report said.

According to the Belarusian Interbank Settlement Center, the number of SWIFT participants in Belarus has decreased to 24 banks, including the National Bank.
