According to the Daily Mail, in China, employees of a commercial bank in the city of Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, were forced to ask permission from the directorate to have children.

According to the rules of the company, pregnancy without prior approval should have been terminated. If a woman did not want to have an abortion, she would be punished.

The administration has accepted applications for the whole year since January.

One of the employees of the bank has already contacted the union and said that she was punished for pregnancy. She was also aware of other cases.

As a result of trade union intervention, the bank revised this requirement and abolished the penalties of all affected women.

A similar case was registered in 2015 in the state of Henan, when one of the credit organizations instructed employees to coordinate the pregnancy with the Directorate in advance. For violation they were expected to be fined, to have withholding of wages and deprivation of the right to occupy a high position.
