The International Development Association provides a loan of $ 25 million to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic for the implementation of the Digital CASA program. Another $ 25 million will be received in the form of a grant, 24.kg writes.

According to the agreement, the Kyrgyz side will start repaying the loan from April 15, 2024. The amount was provided at an annual interest rate of 0.5%, and the maintenance fee is 0.75%.

It should be noted that Kyrgyzstan became the first country to join the World Bank's CASA digital project, whose main goal is the integration of the countries of Central Asia and South Asia into the regional and global digital economy.
