Bexit

Members of the British government secretly discussed the plan to postpone the exit of the UK from the EU for eight weeks, until May 24. It is reported by the Daily Telegraph.

According to him, the ministers hope to coordinate this step with the EU, if the House of Commons of the British Parliament eventually endorses the agreement on Brexit conditions. Thus, during this period, which should last until May 24, the UK will continue to be a member of the EU under current conditions.

The leader of the House of Commons (de facto government representative in parliament), Andrea Leeds, said earlier that extending the Brexit deadline for several weeks would be a reasonable solution if it would ensure the adoption of Brexit legislation in the British Parliament. However, she then added that she did not mean the mandatory extension of Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty on the European Union.

British Prime Minister Theresa May believes that the postponement of Brexit is unacceptable and promises that the EU will take place on March 29.
