The Zabaykalsky Court fined Sberbank for collecting fees for withdrawing cash from a credit card.
"The Chita Fourth Appeal Court declared illegal the 8th (commission for cash withdrawal 3% of the amount, minimum 390 rubles) and 16th points of tariff for servicing credit cards of Visa and MasterCard lines," the court's text says.
The trial began after the incident with a resident of Chita, who paid 390 rubles for an operation to withdraw 100 rubles from a credit card.
Sberbank justified its activities by the Law on Banks. By decision of the court, Sberbank was fined 20,000 rubles.
According to the Russian Consumer Protection Organization, this was not an unprecedented incident. A similar situation was registered in 2012 with the participation of "Russian Standard" Bank.
