The government of Kazakhstan will allocate 25 million dollars for presidential elections. This is stated in the bill, which must be approved.
“To allocate funds from the reserve of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the amount of 9,404,771,000 tenge (about US $ 24.8 million) for holding extraordinary presidential elections of the Republic of Kazakhstan scheduled for June 9, 2019,” RIA Novosti reports.
At the same time, it is noted that the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan will receive more than 24.6 million dollars, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic - about 150 thousand dollars.
After the 30-year rule of Kazakhstan on March 20, Nursultan Nazarbayev announced that he would resign. The president of the upper chamber of the Kazakh parliament, Kasim Zhomart Tokayev, became the leader of the country. The term of presidency expired in 2020.
