The Armenian parliament has adopted a new government program for 2017-2022, with 64 "for" and 31 "against" votes.
In their speeches, the RPA and ARF factions called the government's program realistic, optimistic and pragmatic, but members of the opposition factions have sharply criticized it.
In his closing remarks, Prime minister Karen Karapetyan, in particular, underscored that the government cooperated not only with local but also international experts in developing the program.

It should also be noted that the document planes a 12% reduction in unemployment, in parallel raising employment and wages, increasing nominal wage by 25%. As a result of the tourism development it is envisaged to increase the number of tourists visiting Armenia up to 3 million in a year. The goal of the Government of Armenia is to provide at least 5% annual growth in gross agricultural output.
