
Vardan Harutyunyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, took part in the business meeting on "Current reforms and next steps, road map for improving the administration of state revenues" from July 26 to 28 in Tsakhkadzor.
The Committee stressed the importance of fulfilling its tax obligations by the taxpayers provided for by law in full and on time.
The Chairman of the Committee noted that the Committee had successfully implemented the first stage of the government program reforms envisaged for the tax and customs authorities. The second stage of reforms is already in the process, the results of which are already evident.
For more focused and effective tax control, they revised standards for assessing the risk of a taxpayer, launched a monitoring center. To reduce and prevent the shadow turnover, the "shadow profile" was introduced. According to Vardan Harutyunyan, the activities of the State Expenses Committee are aimed at expanding tax instruments to improve the investment environment of our country, simplifying customs procedures, combating the shadow economy and expanding economic incentives for law-abiding taxpayers.
The Chairman of the Committee stressed the importance of active participation of state, public and international institutions in the reform, and stressed that with joint efforts they can achieve positive results by applying also international successful experience in Armenia.
