Under the leadership of Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan during the consultation held in the Armavir region, the process of the region and community development programs, their work and future plans were discussed.

Presenting the socioeconomic situation in the region and the main indicators, Governor of Armavir Ashot Ghahramanyan noted that the share of the region in the GDP index of the republic in 2015-2016 made 5-6%. Gross agricultural output amounts to 167 billion drams. 48002 farms are engaged in agriculture, there are 34 companies processing and producing agricultural products. 11 of the investment programs, submitted to the government by Armavir region, are related to agriculture. With the support of the RA Prime Minister, solar stations were installed in the Lernamerdz community and work is under way to find donors for placing solar plants in 9 non-carbonated communities of the region.

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan noted that Armavir region is one of the best regions with a per capita gross agricultural product. In response to the question of the head of government, it was noted that the advantages of the region are generally developed agriculture and the fact that they are closer to the capital, while the weak side is the low level of industrial sector development, agriculture mechanization and intensive agriculture.
