"EU-Assia Business Financing Center" is interested in technical audit of "Nairit" plant.

Former Director of Nairit Karen Israyelyan informed that for this purpose holding representatives have prepared a "Memorandum of Understanding", which will soon be submitted to the RA Government.

According to Israyelyan, an agreement was reached to prepare a corresponding document for re-launch of the holding within the framework of the previous meeting of the Armenian government. "There was no clarity during our meeting with RA Deputy Prime Minister Vache Gabrielyan regarding the amount needed for the enterprise rehabilitation. We are looking forward to signing the memorandum, which will enable us to conduct a technical audit, after which we can more clearly speak about the amount and timing of the plant's re-operating, "he explained.

At the same time, the former head of "Nairit" underlined that talks with the Armenian government have been carried out for already a year. "A year ago, the holding for the development and implementation of a special Nairit rehabilitation program estimated its approximate value of $ 70-100 million, and the plant could be restarted one and a half year later. However, after our negotiations the factory was declared bankrupt, a special manager was appointed and many things changed in a year. We are aware of some equipment alienation, so technical audit is critical now, "he said.
