Money transfers made by physical persons through Armenia's banking system totaled $ 724.7 million in January-June 2017, with an increase of 16.4% or $ 102.2 million compared to the same period last year.

According to the Central Bank data, the flow of money transfers to Armenia in June made $ 147.5 million, which is 9.1% more than in the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, money transfers from Russia to Armenia in the first six months of 2017 increased by 15.5% as compared to the same period last year making $ 408.6 million. And the volume of transfers from Armenia to Russia made $ 178.5 million, having increased by 6.2%.

The total amount of transfers from Armenia amounted to $ 442.4 million in comparison with the similar period of January-June 2016- $ 368.3 million. Thus, the net inflow of transfers in the reporting period amounted to about $ 282.2 million instead of $ 254.1 million in the same period last year.
