According to the App Annie app analytics tool, Get Contact has been one of the most downloaded applications by Armenian users since December 10, 2017. It can leak out thousands of contact and other personal data or sell them to a third party.

The app allows you to enter any phone number and know under what name it is saved in the contact list of different phones. The system first requires access to a full list of contacts registered in the user's mobile device.

Although it is indicated in the app that the privacy policy is consistent with the provisions of the EU Directive on the Protection of Private Persons rights, the system can still collect and publish contact information without their knowledge. Get may provide to a third party data, phone numbers, social network accounts, photos, email addresses, up to recordings of telephone conversations.

The Agency for the Protection of Personal Data of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia issued a statement urging not to register in the Get Contact system.

The agency reports that it is possible to delete the phone number from Get Contact database, for which you need to enter this link (link can be followed by iOS and Android) and delete it.
