Apple Corp. plans to stop selling its MacBook Air in 2018.

Last year Apple ordered a large amount of 13-inch liquid-crystal panels from GIS, which produces electronics component parts. At present, the company supplies about 300,000 packs a month to Apple, and at the end of the year this figure will grow at least twice.

According to The Sun analysts, the 13-inch display will mean that Apple will refuse from its ultrabook's production in favor of a new laptop.

It is expected that the new budget model will be closer to the old, but its cost will not exceed $ 1,000. The exact date and value of the release is still unknown.
