At today's session of the Armenian government, Karen Karapetyan's instruction was related to the elimination of customs clearance barriers.

According to the Prime Minister, as a result of the carried out studies, there were cases of customs clearance of goods, which were conditioned by the existence of an arrest on the property of a natural or legal person.

"As a result, the customs clearance process and the possibility of the use or disposal of the goods are limited," he said.

Taking the above mentioned into account, Karen Karapetyan assigned the Minister of Justice and the State Revenue Committee Chairman to elaborate and submit to the Government Staff within 20 days suggestions on eliminating obstacles to customs clearance in the event of a person's property or money arrest.

"In reality, it is incomprehensible if a person imports goods to Armenia and has a ban on his account, why we should limit him to do it if that is the possibility for him to fulfill his obligations., I think, we have a problem there, "he said.
