Multifunctional trucks are produced in Armenia by American standards. According to "ArmenTraks" company's director Armen Gagikyan, the car production process started in November and has already collected 14 cars.

The author of the idea of ​​producing cars in Armenia were American-Armenian businessman, benefactor, Vahe Nikoghos Karapetyan and the head of the Tashir charitable foundation in Armenia, Vahe Karen Karapetyan. The goal of their idea was to develop machine building in heavy industry in Armenia. According to V. Karapetyan, this branch can become locomotive for the development of other branches of economy.

"Today Armenia has a transitive Swiss character. It can actively interact with the markets of Russia, Iran and China. We must use this opportunity, "V. Karapetyan said.

The government has allocated a place for "AA Traks" in "Alliance" free economic zone. According to the business plan, in the first stage of the production it is envisaged to import parts of cars and collect them in Armenia. In the next two years, in the second phase of the business plan, they plan to switch to the production line. With the increase in production, the number of jobs will exceed 500, 40 million dollars will be invested.
