RA Minister of Agriculture Artur Khachatryan received a delegation of the World Bank led by the Deputy Director of the Sustainable Development Program in the South Caucasus and Central Asia Sara Mayil. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the programs implemented by the World Bank in the agricultural sector of Armenia and to outline prospects for further cooperation.

Welcoming the guests, Minister Khachatryan underscored that Armenia's cooperation with the WB has many years of experience, expressing hope that it will continue to develop and expand in different directions.

WB delegates presented the results of programs, challenges and ways of their solution in the agricultural sector.

Particularly, it was touched upon the works carried out within the framework of the Community Agricultural Resource Management and Competitiveness (CARMAC I, II) program, the Japanese PHRD Grant, registered achievements and further actions.

A proposal was made to organize a digital innovation competition in Yerevan in October, emphasizing that digital technologies can provide radical solutions to the challenges facing the agriculture, particularly in the areas of consultation, risk management, crop forecasting, irrigation and other areas.
