Minister of Agriculture Artur Khachatryan and Kotayk Region Governor Romanos Petrosyan visited the Nor Geghi and Nor Artamat communities and greenhouses to study the potential of intensive gardening in the region.

In greenhouse farms grow tomatoes, cucumbers and strawberries, in orchards - apples in a hydroponic way. The gardeners presented the situation, opportunities, problems and challenges.

"I am aware of the problem with irrigation water. This is due to the drawbacks in the water resource management area. I assure you that the problem will be solved the next year, "said Kotayk Regional Governor Romanos Petrosyan.

Artur Khachatryan gave direct advice to the gardeners about the financial opportunities available in the field of agriculture, the introduction of new technologies, particularly the introduction of drip irrigation systems. Till 2025 in the field of intensive agriculture, new programs will be available which will enable them to receive financial resources at low interest rates and with high subsidies by the state.
