The RA Ministry of Agriculture has initiated subsidizing interest rate subsidization program for hail-safe networks, RA Minister of Agriculture Artur Khachatryan said on his Facebook page.

"Within the framework of the project, economic operators are provided with subsidized loans of 2% with a maturity of 7 years, for obtaining anti-hail network of grapes and orchards. Soon it will start functioning in Armenia an anti-hail network producing plant with Italian technology. I'm sure that the prices will be lower than those of imported networks. After all, we all must realize that the best protection of high-value gardens is hail-proof networks.

We also talked about the insurance with the affected gardeners. Let's inform you that next year the pilot program of agricultural insurance will start in Armenia. The program will include Ararat, Armavir and Shirak marzes. Grape and fruit gardens will be secured from hailstorms and frosts in Ararat and Armavir regions, and in Shirak - grain and potatoes, "the minister wrote.
