
Experts from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Chen Fanny and Zoltan Hratskoun presented the activities carried out in the framework of the project "Improvement of Dairy Supply and Processing Processes in the Dairy Industry of Armenia".
The goal of the project is to support the development of dairy products in Armenia by analyzing the feeding resources contributing to milk production and studying the demand for various types of dairy products to develop a strategy for improving the dairy production and processing industries.
Artur Khachatryan emphasized that livestock farming is one of the priority sectors of agriculture, therefore it is interested in the increase of the fodder base.
The solution of the problems will not only improve the income of rural households, but also will promote the creation of new jobs and will ensure the availability of high quality dairy products for Armenian consumers.
